Cornwall Skillset Media Academy has been established as a centre of excellence in the design and delivery of practice-based media education and training.

It celebrates innovation and creativity through the close collaboration between education and business, building on strong existing partnerships of broadcasters, training organisations and media production companies.

Cornwall Skillset Media Academy is positioned to fully exploit opportunities within markets, networks and communities, and re-shape the fabric of the media industries in Cornwall and the South West. The substantial European Union support for this initiative enables applied high value media research, innovation and enterprise activity to be drawn into the region from around the world and place Cornwall on an international stage.

Media players are increasingly shifting from core to edge by focusing less on what they can do in isolation, and more on what can be achieved in partnership with others to explode value creation. Cornwall Skillset Media Academy is an established partnership between University College Falmouth, Cornwall College and Truro College as members of the Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) initiative.

Cornwall Skillset Media Academy is forward-thinking, outward facing and brings together creative excellence with emerging digital technologies and business skills to generate opportunities which are regenerating Cornwall.
