The University of Abertay Dundee Skillset Media Academy delivers a range of digital media production courses that produce graduates for a wide range of broadcast, computer games, digital and interactive media industries.
Abertay's highly creative and skilled student community is experienced in working with commercial partners on large scale projects.
The team of industry-focused, practitioner-academics has significant experience of both working in digital media industries and practice-led research.
The University of Abertay Dundee Skillset Media Academy has strong links with industrial partners from across the broadcast, interactive and wider digital media sectors. These partners include BBC Scotland, BBC New Media, BBC Visions, BSkyB, Channel 4, Electronic Arts, Realtime Worlds, Codemasters, Blitz, Rare, Sony Entertainment Europe, Microsoft and Disney Interactive Media.

In White Space, the University's flagship creative learning and working environment, students work alongside industry professionals on the development of live commercial and broadcast projects. The White Space concept surrounds students with the buzz of a real working environment allowing them to share real-world knowledge and experience.
White Space offers professionally equipped media production facilities and features a state-of-the-art digital recording studio with live radio broadcast facilities. White Space is also home to the HIVE (Human Interactive Virtual Environment) a multi-purpose space with video/green screen studio and digital image realisation capabilities. The HIVE features a cutting edge total immersion video environment and location sensing for interaction with immersive virtual environments.
The University has recently launched Prototype, which is intended as a hothouse, innovation studio. Students have the opportunity to work with BBC Scotland and commercial games developers and start-ups to design and develop new content, or to repurpose existing successful brands aimed primarily at engaging with future audiences.
