Image: Felix MockelThe strong track record of course collaboration, development and delivery by the School of Arts & Media and School of Computing at the Teesside University has resulted in an extensive portfolio of digital production learning opportunities with a strong commitment to the region and involvement of local and national media companies.

Courses are well designed, delivered by enthusiastic well-qualified staff and are aimed at providing a workforce with the higher skills needed to support the ongoing development and future needs of the digital media production industry.

The design and delivery of employer-led provision ensures experts from a wide cross-section of relevant fields support education, training and graduate skills development.

The University's Institute of Digital Innovation, developed in collaboration with the Regional Development Agency, OneNorthEast, is a centre in which postgraduate research and enterprise projects collaborate with the regional digital media industry to stimulate innovation in the digital media field.

The Institute also supports graduates in their first steps of commercial activity through the DigitalCity initiative, which provides specialist facilities, business development and creative mentoring support in order to expand and sustain the regional digital media economy.
