Apply for Skillset Accreditation of your Screenwriting course
Skillset screenwriting degree course accreditation scheme was created in response to the skills needs identified within the UK film industry and aims to highlight good practice and enhance course provision.
Accredited courses bear the Skillset Tick, a kite mark of quality for the industry, an indication of quality assurance of the very best in training and education.
The aim of the accreditation scheme is to facilitate strong links between higher education institutions, and the television, radio, games, interactive and film industries with Skillset to ensure that:
- the courses remain relevant to the needs of the industry;
- the students develop the skills and knowledge the industry requires;
- and employers can rely on graduates of accredited courses to perform at the standard they expect.
Accreditation of screenwriting courses is now only available at postgraduate level.
Accreditation is awarded initially for three to five years.
