Study at Abertay, in the UK’s first national centre for excellence in computer games education, dedicated to bringing out the best in computer games programmers for over 10 years.

You will be taught by staff from Abertay’s Institute for Arts, Media and Computer Games among almost 1,000 like-minded students on various games programming, design and art courses, and have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams, providing you with industry relevant experience.

The University has close relationships with local and national games developers and you will be exposed to industry-led seminars and presentations. The course is regularly updated with guidance from industry and provides the core skills necessary for creating computer games.

The course contains modules on the nature of the computer games industry, mathematics, artificial intelligence, and programming games on PC and console platforms. There is a multidisciplinary game design and development project and an individual dissertation.
