Build your qualification
Selecting from the complete range of courses available across the Skillset Media Academy Network, you can choose your own pathway.
You are able to select any combination of media short courses provided that you do not take two courses that cover the same content.
Each course carries between 10 and 30 postgraduate credits. Credits can then be accumulated over a five year period to achieve the following qualifications:
| 60 credits: | Postgraduate Certificate Professional Media Practice |
| 120 credits: | Postgraduate Diploma Professional Media Practice |
| 180 credits*: | MA Professional Media Practice |
* The final 60 credits will be obtained through the submission of a Masters project, for example a research paper or an innovative production project.
Each Media Academy validates its own courses and recognises credits obtained from other Academies. One third of all credits contributing towards a recognised qualification need to be completed at the Academy which awards the qualification.
Module overlaps
Please note that some of the courses have content and outcomes that overlap - you will not be allowed to take a course that overlaps with one you have already taken.
